Amsterdam-based Peerby won the AppMyCity! contest for best new urban app. Worldwide 93 initiatives joined the AppMyCity! competition. And the Peerby app got selected as winner by New Cities Summit audience of urban leaders and thinkers from across the world and received 5,000 USD.
Peerby enables people to borrow the things they need from their neighbors in under 30 minutes. Users post something they want to borrow, and neighbors will get a push notification to which they can respond in a single touch.

This is also great news for Amsterdam regarding its ambition to become the first Sharing City of Europe some time this Summer.
