Gustavo Palacios our Global Curator for Colombia, has been working very hard to build the sharing economy community in Colombia. He created Sharecollab as the first sharing economy lab in Colombia to accelerate the development of sharing economy in Colombia. During the second half of 2014, he focused in structuring and planning, jointly with Albert Cañigueral, Ouishare Colombia launching and, at the same time, he also launched the first Colombian sharing economy Meetup. All of these activities contributed to widen sharing economy awareness and resulted in an interview in one of the most popular TV broadcasting news network where Gustavo talked about the Uber debate and its relation with sharing economy.
In 2015, march was a very busy month for sharing economy in Colombia, Gustavo and Albert teamed up to develop several activities with main players in the country and launched Sharecollab, Ouishare Colombia and Sharing Economy Meetup.
Gustavo was also invited to talk about collaborative consumption in one of the most popular radio shows #Colombiaresponsable in national radio network, which inspired a co-created press article between all guests who participated in the show.
In just two months, Sharecollab has conducted 5 meetups and the community has already reached 238 members and is already developing 3 projects for brick and mortar companies, together with more than 10 people that are currently working as a collaborative team.
